EMPLOYMENT
The employment statistics cover persons from 15 to 62 years of age, regardless of their place of birth, who have an annual income of more than DKK 40.000.
The income is calculated with regard to taxable salaries and proceeds from fishing and catching.

The Employment by Main Line of Business and Place of Birth
The distribution of employment with regard to the employee's birthplace is based on data from the population register of Statistics Greenland. The designation 'born in Greenland' does not necessarily mean that the person is ethnically Greenlandic. Children born in Greenland by Danish parents are registered as born in Greenland just as children born in Denmark of Greenlandic parents are registered as born outside Greenland.
